Tips for Writing a Yelp Review

While Yelp filters are meant to screen out staged and disingenuous reviews, they often end up screening out some valuable insight from real customers. Because of this, we want to give you a few tips on how to write a useful review that will be visible to anyone who visits a review page:

 

 1.     Give the time and date: It’s important to note the time and date of your experience. If you had a terrible experience with a company years ago, it might not necessarily be relevant if the business has changed management, hired new staff, etc. Make sure to state this early on or even open with it.

2.     Tell your story: The most important purpose of a Yelp review is to inform others of your personal experience with a company. The best and most effective way to let others know how your encounter with a company went is to share your story from start to finish.

3.     Tell both sides: Many reviews go ignored because they are biased in one direction or the other. A good, fair review takes into account all aspects of the experience. If you felt your experience could have been better in some way, explain how!

4.     Ask yourself if you’d find it helpful: Bottom line, would you believe you? Think of the times you’ve read reviews online and how they were helpful to you. What about them made them helpful?

5.     Sum it all up: Describe your overall experience in a few short words, typically at or toward the end. This sounds challenging but it’s a good way to help readers gauge your overall satisfaction with a company.

San Diego based theater chain leads the country in gross ticket sales for terrorism threatened, “The Interview” starring Seth Rogan and James Franco  

Vista, CA — UltraStar Cinemas has announced that their west coast theater chain has led the nation in gross ticket sales for the nearly maligned Sony release of “The Interview.”  Amid weeks of speculation, terrorist threats and rumors, Sony initially pulled the film from mainstream distribution, then days before the scheduled Christmas release date, gave a triumphant go-ahead. Sony then called upon theaters to screen the film while taking any needed safety precautions necessary.

No stranger to trailblazing, UltraStar Cinemas distributed the controversial film throughout California and Arizona locations for a Christmas Day release.  The decision by management propagated their desire to preserve free speech and artistic integrity while providing a safe environment for movie goers.  Their efforts resulted in total box office sales which lead the nation over the opening holiday weekend.

Phoenix Marketing Associates hired by Republic West Home to launch new campaign and write and produce new radio commercials.

Phoenix Marketing Associates (PMA) was recently hired to launch two new radio campaigns for Republic West Home and help promote upcoming holiday deals. 

Republic West Home and PMA have recently partnered with iHeart Media in launching a new radio campaign on KFYI featuring new holiday offers.  Republic West Home engaged Phoenix Marketing Associates (PMA) to produce the commercials as well as source local talent, Andi Barness to provide voice over services.

PMA was tasked with writing a conversational :60 second spot between talent and owner, as well as two :30 second spots which were more product focused on kitchens and exterior painting with new Tank Paint of Phoenix.

In addition to producing the new radio commercials, PMA researched the market, negotiated pricing and secured contracts for their client.
